Learn to Sail

Introduction

For those of you who don’t know what sailing is or couldn’t even begin to explain where the ”tiller” is located on a 420 then this is probably the place to start! During the summer school terms we run a comprehensive Learn to sail program which follows the Yachting New Zealand guidelines. We have a fleet of 8great two man 420′s that can be learned in as well as optimists for younger kids. This means that after a term or so at TRIYA you should be able to come out with a big smile, and take some of your mates out for a spin on the water in one of our speedy 420′s.

Have a Go:

Each ear TRIYA runs a have a go day where you can come down and try out one of our 420′s on the water with an experienced sailor in a fun enjoyable environment. Click here to check out our have a go day page
